- Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Monjouro, and it works as both a GLP-1 and GIP-1 agonist. In clinical trials it has shown to be more effective in weight loss than semaglutide.
- Why might compounded semaglutide be necessary?

- Slowing Gastric Emptying: GLP-1 slows down the emptying of the stomach, leading to a more gradual release of nutrients into the bloodstream. This helps in better blood sugar control.
